Speaking of GOG.com (we talk about them fairly often here) it looks like their weekend sale could be quite the boon to those of you with a strategy gaming itch that needs scratching as right now, through the weekend, all Staretgy First games are 50% off on the site. That’s quite the sale for quite a few really good strategy games.
Great news for classic gaming fans as one of the very best, cream of the crop retro PC games is hitting GOG.com this Thursday. I am, of course, speaking of Syndicate the real-time isometric tactical strategy game developed by Bullfrog Productions and published by Electronic Arts in 1993. This is easily one of those games that’s up there with the likes of X-Com and Jagged Alliance for best tactical strategy games.
One of the more interesting adventure games to ever get released has finally seen a release on everybody’s favorite retro gaming portal: GOG.com. Time Commando, by Adeline Software International (the same guys who did Little Big Adventure), is now available on the digital distribution store for a scant $5.99 and should work with XP, Vista and 7 in 32 or 64 bit versions.

Many popular older games that got but a single sequel have left fans wondering if a third title will ever see the light of day. Little Big Adventure is no exception.
Good Ol’ Games just posted an interview with the developers behind these two PC classics, and while there is no mention of anything related to Little Big Adventure 3, a remake of the first game is mentioned as being under development, which is definitely great news; even if it would be better to get a third game… oh well. Maybe if the LBA1 remake becomes a hit we can get the threequel we so desire.
Speaking of GOG.com, when they’re not giving away games for free they are apparently having a huge sale to commemorate the holidays. Right now, GOG.com is having a 50% off sale on nearly their entire catalog of retro games.
