Even though they were all 50% off during their crazy Christmas sale, no less than eight great RPGs are currently on sale at GOG.com. I’d recommend completely ignoring two of them however, as Forgotten Realms: Demon Stone is just a poor man’s hack’n'slash and Dungeons & Dragons: Dragonshard is not really worth the admission fee either; but the rest all have my personal recommendations..

Turn-based strategy fans rejoice, for this weekend, GOG.com are selling the entire Age of Wonders series at half price! That’s not one, not two, but three great turn-based strategy titles!

This weekend, fans of point ‘n’ click goodness are gonna wanna check out GOG.com, because both the Police Quest, Space Quest and King’s Quest series are all 50% off – even the first two entries in the Police Quest spin-off series, SWAT are discounted! It would have been even better though, if they had the Quest For Glory series in their catalogue too, and maybe even more so, Leisure Suit Larry, but the three they do have are definitely recommendable too.

It seems that the great people at Good Old Games are on quite a roll, after the recent acquisition of Square Enix. This time they’ve brought part one of the stealth classic trilogy Thief into the world of DRM-free digital goodness. They (GOG.com) have made sure every game they’re selling comes bundled with extras, and this is no exception; the version of Thief comes with the Gold update, which is a small – but worthwhile – expansion.

Speaking of GOG.com (we talk about them fairly often here) it looks like their weekend sale could be quite the boon to those of you with a strategy gaming itch that needs scratching as right now, through the weekend, all Staretgy First games are 50% off on the site. That’s quite the sale for quite a few really good strategy games.

Chances are everyone have heard about the Hitman and Deus Ex franchises, considering the level of popularity both have garnered over the years. If you haven’t, here’s a short description of the main character in the first games:

Great news for classic gaming fans as one of the very best, cream of the crop retro PC games is hitting GOG.com this Thursday. I am, of course, speaking of Syndicate the real-time isometric tactical strategy game developed by Bullfrog Productions and published by Electronic Arts in 1993. This is easily one of those games that’s up there with the likes of X-Com and Jagged Alliance for best tactical strategy games.

One of the more interesting adventure games to ever get released has finally seen a release on everybody’s favorite retro gaming portal: GOG.com. Time Commando, by Adeline Software International (the same guys who did Little Big Adventure), is now available on the digital distribution store for a scant $5.99 and should work with XP, Vista and 7 in 32 or 64 bit versions.
