AgedGamer Features

AgedGamer features a few concepts that may be a little alien to normal game review fans. Because this site intended to entertain more than inform, we have taken the liberty to adjust our content to be more more entertaining. This site also will take for granted that you will understand that all of the ‘news’ that you read here is not actually “new” news. It was just news at some point in time.

With all of that said, please let us explain our article concepts so that you can fully enjoy our content:

  • Re-Review:

You simply can’t review an old game like a brand new one. Performance might be better (or worse) today than at the time of launch, patches may been released that have changed it one way or another, and so on. That is why we Re-Review them; taking time and change(s) into consideration, and conclude with how we feel the game holds up against the test of time — because nostalgia can easily blur your memories.

  • Retro-News:

Retro-News is a sweet dessert that consists of old news with a blend of nostalgia and humor topped with a bit of AG flavor. First we find a story from the past, then write it as a news brief article and giving it that extra “punch” that AG prides itself on.

  • Aged-Review:

Often times, the retro game is not an old game, but an old concept that is revisited. While these games qualify as being “retro” in style, we wanted to differentiate between a review of an old game and a review on a game which revives an old concept — thus Aged Review. A few examples of such would be Breath of Death VII, Abobo’s Big Adventure and VVVVVV, but there are plenty more.
